Follow the instructions below and you will be up and running in a few minutes:

Setting up SmartTV router with Hola Premium DNS Proxy VPN


  1. Please choose the country from which you'd like to appear to be browsing from (your IP will be from this country):
  2. Access details

  3. Make sure you are disconnected from any previous VPN service before trying to connect to Hola Full VPN.
  4. Right Click the Network icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and go to Open Network and Sharing Center
  5. Click Set up a new connection or network
  6. Select Connect to a workplace and then hit Next
  7. Click Use my Internet Connection (VPN)
  8. For Internet address, enter the VPN server address: {{vpn_server_address()}}. For Destination name, enter a name that will later appear in the list of your VPN connections. We recommend Hola {{country.text}}, so that you can have several connections set up for different countries.
    Also, put a check mark for Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later. Click Next.
  9. Enter your VPN user name ({{vpn_info.login}}) and password ({{vpn_info.password}}). Put a check mark for Remember this password. Click Create.
  10. Click Close.
  11. Click the Network icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Select the connection you\'ve just created and click Connect.
  12. Click Properties.
  13. Go to the Security tab.
  14. For Type of VPN, select Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP). Click OK.
  15. Click Connect.
  16. This message will confirm that your VPN connection is establishing.
  17. Click the Network icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Newly created Hola VPN connection can be seen.
  18. Right Click the Network icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and go to Open Network and Sharing Center
  19. Click Set up a new connection or network
  20. Select Connect to a workplace and then hit Next
  21. Click Use my Internet Connection (VPN)
  22. For Internet address, enter the VPN server address: {{vpn_server_address()}}. For Destination name, enter a name that will later appear in the list of your VPN connections. We recommend Hola {{country.text}}, so that you can have several connections set up for different countries. Click Create.
  23. In the Networks menu right click on the new connection and tap View connection properties
  24. Go to the Security tab.
  25. For Type of VPN, select Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP). Click OK.
  26. In the Networks menu, click Connect on the new VPN connection
  27. Enter your VPN user name ({{vpn_info.login}}) and password ({{vpn_info.password}}). Click OK.
  28. Wait until the VPN status becomes Connected. You can tap the VPN connection to disconnect.
  29. Right Click the Network icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and go to Open Network and Internet settings
  30. Click on the VPN line
  31. Click on Add a VPN connection
  32. For VPN provider choose Windows (built-in)
  33. For Connection name, enter a name that will later appear in the list of your VPN connections. We recommend Hola , so that you can have several connections set up for different countries.
    For Server Name or address, enter the VPN server address: {{vpn_server_address()}}.
  34. For VPN type, select Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP).
  35. Enter your VPN user name ({{vpn_info.login}}) and password ({{vpn_info.password}}).
  36. Click Save and close the window
  37. In order to connect to Hola {{country.text}}, click the Network icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select your desired VPN connection
  38. Click on the Apple logo on the upper hand corner of the screen then on System Preferences.
  39. In System Preferences, click on the Network icon.
  40. Click on the + icon in the lower left hand corner
    (Note: You must have administrator privileges).
  41. In the new window that appears, click the drop list and select VPN.
  42. Select VPN Type: L2TP over IPsec.
  43. Name your VPN connection. This name will later appear in the list of your VPN connections. We recommend Hola {{country.text}}, so that you can have several connections set up for different countries.
  44. Click create.
  45. The connection details dialog will open. For Server Address, enter the VPN server address: {{vpn_server_address()}}, and for Account Name enter your VPN user name ({{vpn_info.login}}). Do not use your facebook or google ID's, even if you used them to sign up to Hola VPN!!
    Then Click on Authentication settings button.
  46. In the Password box, enter your password ({{vpn_info.password}}), and in the Shared Secret enter {{vpn_info.psk}}, then click OK.
  47. Click on the Advanced button, then check that the box close to Send all traffic over VPN connection and click OK and in the main dialog, click Apply.
  48. That's it! Your VPN connection is configured.
  49. To connect, click on the VPN icon in the status bar, and choose your VPN connection.

Always ensure your Apple TV is using the most recent firmware available from the App Store.
  1. In your Apple TV's main screen, go to Settings.
  2. Select the Network menu and choose your connection.
  3. Choose Configure DNS, and then choose Manual.
  4. In the DNS field, enter Hola Premium DNS Proxy server IP from the following list and click Done.
    Select the closest server to your physical location.
  5. Restart your Apple TV and it will start using Hola Premium DNS Proxy.
In order to use Hola Premium VPN with Internet Explorer, please configure your Windows PC.

In order to use Hola Premium VPN with {{platform.title}}, please configure your Windows PC or Mac.

Always ensure your TV is using the most recent firmware available. Note that configuration menus may be slightly different than outlined below - but the general outline will be the same.

  1. Turn on your TV and press Settings on your remote control.
  2. From the Quick Settings screen, locate and click the Advanced button.
  3. Select Network.
  4. How is your TV connected to the network?
  5. Choose Wired Connection (Ethernet).
  6. Click Edit.
  7. Choose Wi-Fi Connection.
  8. Click Advanced Settings.
  9. Click Edit.
  10. Turn off Set Automatically checkbox.
  11. In the DNS field, enter Hola Premium DNS Proxy server IP from the following list and click Connect.
    Select the closest server to your physical location.
  12. Your TV will now test the connection. Click Complete to complete the set up.
  13. Restart your TV and it will start using Hola Premium DNS Proxy.
  1. On your TV remote control, press the Setup / Settings / Manu button.
  2. In the menu, select Network.
  3. Click Network connection.
  4. Click Custom.
  5. Choose your connection type (Ethernet, Wireless or TV as Access Point).
  6. In IP address/DNS settings window, highlight DNS setting mode row and select Manual.
  7. Highlight DNS row and enter Hola Premium DNS Proxy server IP from the following list.
    Select the closest server to your physical location.
  8. Restart your TV and it will start using Hola Premium DNS Proxy.
  1. On your TV remote control, press the Options button.
  2. Scroll right and select Setup.
  3. Scroll right and down to select Network settings.
  4. Enter Network configuration section and select Static IP.
  5. In the Static IP configuration section, enter DNS 1 for editing.
  6. Put Hola Premium DNS Proxy server IP from the following list to DNS 1 field.
    Press OK button on TV remote to save changes.
    Select the closest server to your physical location.
  7. Select the second closest server and put it to DNS 2 field, press OK on TV remote control to save changes.
  8. Restart your TV and it will start using Hola Premium DNS Proxy.
Note: BBC iPlayer and VUDU only work on TV models that are sold in the UK and US respectively. As such they might not stream video, even when Hola Premium DNS Proxy works well for other apps on the same TV.

  1. Press Menu on your Samsung Smart TV remote control.
  2. From this settings menu scroll down to Network.
  3. Select Network Settings.
  4. Your device will now test your Internet connection and display the result and the network type: wired or wireless. Press Start.
  5. Select IP Settings.
  6. In the DNS Settings box, enter the Hola Premium DNS Proxy server IP from the following list.
    For best performance, choose server that is closest to your location.
  7. Press OK. Your device will test the connection again. Now, press Next to save and exit.
  8. To make sure that the settings were applied, turn your TV off and then on again.
  1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
  2. Scroll down to Settings and select Network.
  3. Select Network Set-up.
  4. Click Set-up network connection.
  5. Click Custom.
  6. Choose Wired Set-up or Wireless Set-up depending on how your TV is connected to your home network.
    If selecting Wireless, you will be required to select your network and enter your Wi-Fi password.
  7. On the IP Address Setting screen, select Manual.
  8. Scroll down to Primary DNS row and enter Hola Premium DNS Proxy server IP from the following list.
    Select the closest server to your physical location.
    Then enter second closest server to the Secondary DNS row.
  9. After entering the DNS, scroll right on the remote control.
  10. On the Do you want to use a proxy server?, select No.
  11. Scroll right on the remote control twice and click Save & Connect.
  12. Click Quit Network Setup.
  13. Select Refresh Internet Content.
  14. The TV will now go through 3 stages to update the Internet Content. Once completed, a confirmation message will be displayed on screen.
  1. Press Menu on your TV remote control.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Select Network Setup.
  4. Select Advanced Network Setup.
  5. Select DNS Setup.
  6. Set Auto Setup to Off.
  7. Scroll down to Primary DNS Address row and enter Hola Premium DNS Proxy server IP from the following list.
    Select the closest server to your physical location.
    Then enter second closest server to the Secondary DNS Address row.
  8. Exit setup and restart your TV.
  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Click on Network under Internet & Wireless
  3. Select the network (Wireless or Ethernet) your Mac is connected.
    For example, if your mac is connected through wireless network, make sure to select AirPort.
    Then click on Advanced.
  4. Click on DNS on the top section. Then click on the DNS Server IP and remove it with the - (minus) button below.
    Then click + (plus) button below to add DNS Proxy IP addresses on the next step.
  5. Fill DNS Server IPs

    Click on + button on the bottom left side of the screen to enter DNS Server IP. You will find IPs below.
    Click on + button again and type the 2nd DNS Server IP.

    Use the closest server to your physical location as Primary. Then select the 2nd closest server to your physical location as the Secondary server.
    You are now set. You can now log in to your your control panel, activate your IP address and verify that the setup is correct.

Attention

  • If your router's IP address change, the service will stop working. This is because we rely on your IP address for authentication. In case of problems, alwayds go to your control panel - you can do this from any device on your home network (PC/Mac/SmartTV built-in browser etc). Our system will automaticall refresh your new IP in our database and your DNS VPN will work.
  • Your DNS configuration should only include DNS IP addresses from the list above.
  • Restart your TV console computer and router after changing your DNS IPs. This will make sure that you will receive fresh results from the new DNS server you selected.
